7 Reasons to Drink More Water

7 Reasons To Drink More Water

One of the key components of weight loss, fitness and wanting to look and feel better, is getting your daily amount of water. The purpose of this blog is to hopefully give you a greater understanding of why you should be staying hydrated and how it will make a difference day to day.

They say you can live 30 days without food, but only 3 without water. But what are the benefits of not just consuming enough water to survive in comparison to being 100% hydrated as often as possible? Let’s have a look:

1. Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue – Since your brain is mostly water, the more often you’re entirely hydrated, the more concentration you will have when conducting challenging tasks through out your day.
2. Promotes Weight Loss –Sometimes when you feel hungry you may just be dehydrated. This is your brain playing tricks on you, which kind of ties into number 1.
3. Flushes Out Toxins – Maintaining a high level of water intake also combined with physical activity that gets you sweating will get rid of any de-energising build up in your body.

4. Improves Skin Complexion – Moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft, glowing and smooth. Gets rid of wrinkles. It’s the best anti-aging treatment around!
5. Boosts Immune System – You are less likely to get put out of action and hit with the flu by keeping your water levels up!
6. Natural Headache Remedy – Helps relieve and prevent headaches (migraines & back pains too!) which are commonly caused by dehydration.
7. Controlling Emotions – Because water aids in body regulation and brain function, it’s also closely related to balancing mood and emotions.
Here are some quick tips to get more water in:
  1.  Take a drink bottle you like the look of with you everywhere you go. You’ll be more likely to drink if you always notice it with you.
  2. Have a glass first thing in the morning when rising. The water helps you get energized for the day quicker. Becoming accustomed to this will have you looking forward to water at the start of the day.
  3. Add lemon, cucumber, orange, mango for a greater taste attached.
  4. Tell a friend to ask you daily. Accountability is a powerful thing.

A good recommendation for your daily amount is drinking enough to have a feeling of fullness from water 3-4 times throughout the day.
